The Fall Fair cannot function without Volunteers!
The Owen Sound Fall Fair has multiple volunteer committees working year-round to organize the various events and activities that occur during the Fair weekend. We are very fortunate to have a highly dedicated team of volunteers contributing to our organization.

VOLUNTEER INFORMATION NIGHT
AUGUST 8th, 2023 at 7:00pm
The Barn at Victoria Park, Owen Sound
Come on out and learn more about the different opportunities available to volunteer with the Owen Sound Agricultural Society. Have your questions answered and pick your position for this year's Fall Fair!
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!
These committees/ area of the OSAS need assistance this year.
All volunteers that help us will receive passes to the fair for their contribution.
Homecraft
Homecraft takes care of all of the exhibits within the Julie McArthur Rec Centre. There are sections that range from junior work to senior work, culinary arts to photography and everything in between! There is help required for the planning of these sections, meeting monthly approximately between now and the fair. There is also desperate need for volunteers on fair week to set up the area, register exhibits as they come in, during judging day, during the fair and clean up. Let us know if you are interested.

Arena Setup - Moving tables and stands. Putting up Quilt Racks.

Help exhibitors get registered and help them find where to put their entries.​

Assist Judging of entries and reorganize entries to display properly. ​

Set Up/ Take Down
We set up the fall fair on Labour Day, the Monday before the fair. We require volunteers who are able to help lift stands for the homecraft area, who can help put up perimeter fence and move gates, etc. If you are able to help on this day or during clean up on the Sunday after the fair we would love to hear from you.

Set up perimeter fence at the fairgrounds with construction panels.

Set up a portion of Old Mac Donalds farm area. ​

Thursday Sept 7 6PM - 10PM

Set up gates for Cattle Shows in the Barn.

Put up safety fence around track.

Erect fence around Entertainment Tent.​

Finishing touches on other portions of the fair.

Sunday Sept 10 10AM - 3PM

Clean up the fair, take everything down and put away for the year.​

During The Fair
During the Fair itself we are looking for volunteers to help run some of the children's activities. Whether you can help for a couple of hours or all day, we would really appreciate your assistance.
